Build Grant
OFFICIAL RULES, in plain words.
Everything about the Build Grant in one place: who can apply, how we pick the winner, exactly what the winner gets, who owns the build, what every applicant gets, and how we share the winner’s before-and-after.
Last updated 19 October 2026
No purchase is needed to apply or to win. Buying anything from Fracs does not improve your chances. The winner is chosen by our team on the merits of the application. Void where prohibited.
1. Who runs it
The Build Grant is run by Fracs LLC, an Iowa limited liability company at 204 12th Street, Suite 208, Des Moines, Iowa 50309 (“Fracs,” “we”). Questions go to hello@fracs.io.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, Meta Platforms, Google or any other platform where you may have seen it. You are giving your information to Fracs, and to no platform.
2. Who can apply
- You must be a legal resident of the United States, 18 or older, and the owner of the business or someone with authority to sign agreements for it.
- The business must be based in the United States and operate lawfully. It can be brand new or not yet launched.
- We cannot award the grant to a business we could not lawfully or reasonably promote, including adult content, gambling, cannabis, firearms, tobacco or vaping, multi-level marketing, political campaigns, and anything illegal where you operate.
- Employees, contractors and owners of Fracs LLC, Tangram, Primortul LLC and their immediate family members and household members cannot apply.
- A business that has won the Build Grant cannot apply again for 12 months.
3. How to apply
- Fill in the free application at fracs.io/grant. It takes about three minutes.
- Each month is its own round. A round opens at 12:00 a.m. Central Time on the first day of the month and closes at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the last day of that month. An application counts in the round open when we receive it.
- One application per business per round. Extra applications for the same business in the same round are combined into one. You can apply again in a later round.
- Applications made by bots, scripts or anyone other than the business’s owner or an authorized representative are disqualified.
- We are not responsible for applications lost, delayed or garbled by internet, email or device problems.
4. How the winner is picked
One winner a round, chosen by the Fracs team from all eligible applications received in that round, scored on three things:
| Impact | How much the build would change the business. 40% |
|---|---|
| Readiness | Whether the owner can give us three days of time, plus access to their accounts and the content only they have. 30% |
| Story | The story behind the business, and how clearly the application tells us what is broken and what a fix would let you do. 30% |
- Every applicant is invited to a free 15-minute call with our team, booked from the email we send when you apply. The call is part of judging, and we pick the winner from the applicants we have spoken with. Taking a call is not a sales commitment and costs nothing.
- Our decisions are final. If two applications score the same, the one with the higher Impact score wins.
- We award a round only if at least one eligible application is received.
5. Telling the winner, and everyone else
- We contact the winner by email and phone within 7 days of the round closing.
- The winner has 5 business days to reply and sign a short winner agreement: a statement that they are eligible, the license in section 7, the publicity permission in section 9, and a build agreement setting the dates. If the winner does not reply in time, is not eligible, or declines, we may pick another winner from the same round.
- Every applicant hears the result by email within 7 days of the round closing, win or not.
- For the name of a round’s winner, email hello@fracs.io within 60 days of the round closing.
6. What the winner gets
One Business Rescue build, approximate retail value $9,500, and a permanent license to use it in their business (section 7). The build is delivered remotely by the Fracs team over three working days, scheduled within 60 days of the signed winner agreement. It includes:
| A new website | Up to 8 pages, written to sell, built for phones, and launched on your domain, with visitor tracking set up. |
| Your brand, finished | Logo files, colors, fonts and a photo set, in one kit you can use anywhere in your business. We refine your existing logo or design a new one. |
| A sales system | Lead capture on your site, a CRM set up for your business, and an automated follow-up sequence of up to 5 emails. |
| A year of marketing | A 12-month plan written in your voice, with up to 3 social posts a week, 1 newsletter a week and 2 blog articles a month. We write and load the first 90 days during the build, and hand you the plan, prompts and templates for the remaining nine months. |
| Ads ready to run | Four quarterly campaign plans, with the creative and copy for each made and set up in your ad account, ready to switch on. |
| Your numbers | A KPI plan with the few numbers to watch every week, and a one-page read of your finances based on what you share with us. |
What the prize does not include
- Ad spend, and any fees charged by ad platforms
- Your domain name, hosting, email and software subscriptions after the build. We set up tools on free or low-cost plans where we can, and tell you the monthly cost before we choose anything that bills you.
- Printing, postage, merchandise, inventory and in-person photo or video shoots
- Ongoing work after the build, including posting, newsletter sending, ad management and updates. That is available on a monthly plan if you want it, at our normal prices.
- Ownership of the intellectual property in the build (see section 7)
- Legal, tax, accounting or financial advice
- Two rounds of revisions on each piece are included during the build. More are quoted separately.
The fine print on the prize
- The prize has no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and cannot be swapped for cash or other services. If part of it becomes impossible to deliver, we may replace that part with work of equal or greater value.
- The winner needs to be available for the three build days, give us the access and content we ask for, and make decisions in time. If the build cannot start within 90 days of the winner agreement because of the winner, the prize may be forfeited.
- Taxes are the winner’s responsibility. Because the prize is worth more than $600, the winner must give us a completed IRS Form W-9, and we will issue a Form 1099 for the prize’s value.
7. Who owns the build
Fracs owns the build. Everything we create for the Build Grant stays the intellectual property of Fracs LLC: the website design and code, the brand kit and logo artwork, the copy, the marketing plan, posts, newsletters and articles, the ad creative, the automations and CRM setup, the KPI plan, and every template, layout, prompt and method behind them.
The winner gets a permanent license to use it. From the moment each piece is delivered, the winner may use, publish, edit and run all of it for their own business, for as long as the business operates, at no cost. The license:
- covers the winner’s own business only. It cannot be resold, sublicensed, or used to build websites, brands or marketing for anyone else;
- moves with the business if the business is sold, and otherwise cannot be transferred;
- ends only if the winner breaks these limits, after we have told them in writing and given them 30 days to fix it.
We will not give the winner’s logo, brand or business-specific copy to any other business. We may reuse the underlying code, templates, layouts, prompts and methods in our other work.
What stays the winner’s: their business name, existing trademarks and logo (if they already had one), the photos, text, customer lists and data they give us, and every account and domain registered in their name. We hand over login access to every account we set up for them.
If the winner wants to own a piece outright, for example to register a new logo as a trademark, Fracs can assign it for a fee we quote in writing.
8. What every other applicant gets
Every eligible applicant who does not win gets an offer with their result: a new website built by Fracs for $599, plus monthly hosting. The offer is separate from the prize and has no effect on who wins.
- The offer comes in the result email, within 7 days of the round closing. That email gives the hosting price and says how long the offer is open.
- One offer per business. It cannot be combined with other discounts, transferred, or exchanged for cash.
- Applicants who were already emailed a $1,000 Business Rescue credit keep it, on the terms in that email.
- A paid website is covered by our Terms of Service and your order, which set out who owns that work.
9. Sharing the winner’s before-and-after
Showing what changed is how other owners see that this is real. So the winner agrees, as part of the winner agreement, that Fracs and its sister companies Tangram and Primortul LLC may use the following to report on and promote the Build Grant and our services, in any media, without further payment, except where the law does not allow it:
- the winner’s name, business name, city and state;
- photos, video and voice recordings of the winner taken with their knowledge during the build or a follow-up interview;
- quotes and a short testimonial in the winner’s own words, which they approve before we publish them;
- before-and-after screenshots and recordings of the website, brand, social accounts, ads and other work we built; and
- results the winner shares with us after the build, such as visitors, leads or sales, only with the winner’s written okay for each figure we publish.
We never publish the winner’s customer data, bank details or private financial records. The winner can ask us to leave out anything sensitive before we publish. After two years, the winner can ask us to take the story down from our own website and social accounts, and we will, though we cannot recall things already printed or shared by others. Fracs may show the work it built in its portfolio at any time.
Applicants who do not win are never named, quoted or shown publicly unless they say yes in writing first.
Before-and-after examples show the work we did for one business. They are no promise of results for any other business, and results vary.
10. Your information
We use what you put in the application to run the Build Grant, to check the public details of your business (for example, your website and Google listing), and to email you about your application. We may also email you about Fracs services, and you can unsubscribe from those at any time. We never sell your information. Our privacy policy covers the rest, including the tools that receive it.
11. The legal bits
- By applying, you agree to these rules and to our decisions about the Build Grant.
- We do not promise any business result from the build: no revenue, rankings, leads or sales.
- To the extent the law allows, you release Fracs, Tangram, Primortul LLC and their owners, employees and contractors from any claim arising from taking part in the Build Grant or accepting or using the prize, except for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct. Our total liability to a winner is limited to the prize’s retail value.
- We may disqualify anyone who tampers with the application process, gives false information, or acts abusively toward our team.
- If something outside our control stops a round from running fairly, we may change, pause or end the Build Grant by updating this page. Any round already open is still judged and awarded from the eligible applications received.
- For the Build Grant, these rules take priority over our general Terms of Service wherever the two differ, including on who owns the work.
- These rules are governed by the law of the State of Iowa. Any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts in Polk County, Iowa. If one part of these rules is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
- If we change these rules, we change the date at the top. A change never applies to a round that has already closed.
